Manky Poets with guest Dominic Berry

One great thing about Manky Poets is the mix of people we have as guests.
Last month, Professor Michael Schmidt OBE, writer of many standard works on poetry.
This month, Manchester's arch-performer, Dominic Berry.
Come and enjoy him - he will tire you out.

Manchester's Vegan, homogoth performer/poet Dominic Berry will read at Manky Poets on Friday 20th February.
He is MC at Matt and Phred's POETS AND MASH
and co-host of greenroom's FREED UP open mic.
A regular on Manchester's thriving poetry scene, his poems are from the heart and head; his work challenging yet accessible, political, passionate, often very funny and always immensely enjoyable.
Following work printed in publications ranging from
Commonword, Gay Times, The Ugly Tree, Mental Virus and The Vegan Society.

Tomorrow I Will Go Dancing [Flapjack Press, 2008]
is his first complete book of verse, containing many of the slam-winning poems he has become known for across the northwest over the past few years.

'There's a photo of us in a place we've yet to be,
It's on the last shot of my camera,
the one I've still not taken,
I'm saving it for you.
But let's not rush.
I am in love with the journey.'

From Dominic's poem 'We Travel'
