MEDIA TRAINING: For Local Organisations Working with Refugees and Asylum Seekers

How to develop a positive media strategy around refugee and asylum seeking issues, use media in the advocacy and lobbying process and attract positive media attention to work involving refugees. Including: how the media operate/ media strategy and policy/ conducting radio interviews/ the phone in/ handling hostile questions/ press releases / selling your story/ going on TV/ making complaints.

This workshop is for local organisations interested in creating projects or events during Refugee Week ). Refugee week is a UK-wide programme of arts, cultural and educational events that celebrate the contribution of refugees to the UK.
