Arts Council England, East
Arts Council England is the national development agency for the
arts. It is investing £2 billion of public funds in the arts in
England, including funding from the National Lottery, through to
2006. The organisation has a national office and nine
regional offices.
Our core purpose at Arts Council England, East is to generate
growth in resources and raise ambition for the arts and creative
industries in East England. We have raised ambitions and focused
on strategic development to reposition the region’s role and
reputation for the arts.
Our agenda will make East England the hotbed of creative talent,
playing a leading role in the arts both nationally and
internationally. We have initiatives in place that are competing
in a world-class arena but that are at the heart of our local
communities.
Our website, www.artscouncil.org.uk,
provides up-to-the-minute news and information on who we are and
what we do.
