An Afternoon of World Literature for Norwich City of
Refuge
The Bishop's House Garden, Norwich Cathedral, Sunday 24 June
2007, 2.00pm-6.00pm.
The rain did not deter a great turnout, where members of the
public and writers mixed and enjoyed each other's company in the
beautiful gardens of the Bishop of Norwich’s private residence.
In between readings from top class writers there was a chance to
enjoy the garden and browse the stalls. Independent regional
publishers exhibited their wares; international visiting
authors were available for book signings and chat,
and plants from the garden were on sale.
There were readings by New Writing Worlds Writers in Residence
Eva
Hoffman, Gwyneth
Lewis, and Geoff
Dyer. Germany and Italy were represented by Michael
Augustin and Andrea
Canobbio and India by Amit
Chaudhuri and Sujata
Bhatt.
