Menagerie Theatre Company, Cambridge, the East of England’s leading
independent new writing theatre company. He has been developing new
work for over fifteen years during which he has directed over fifty
productions. He spent two years as the Artistic Director at Center
Stage, New York, where he also taught directing at New School and
The Actor’s Studio, and six years as a freelance director in
Germany, Italy and Belgium. Credits include directing the European
première of David Mamet’s Oleanna and the world premiere
of Tennessee Williams’s last short play Williams’ Guignol.
For Menagerie he is Artistic Director of the Hotbed Festival, and
has directed Steve Waters’s The Cull, The Gifts of
War by Fraser Grace, Seeds by Diane Samuels,
Sweetie Pie by Anna Reynolds, and Hard Sell by
Craig Baxter. Each of these pieces were commissioned and developed
through the company’s own workshop process.
