Jim Crace has written eight novels, including Quarantine which won the Whitbread Novel Prize and Being Dead which was Booker shortlisted and won the National Book Critics’ Circle Award in the USA. Other awards include the E M Forster Prize, The Guardian Fiction Prize, and the E M Forster Award from the American Academy of Arts and Letters. His books have been translated into 28 languages. Jim Crace is currently Visiting Professor of Creative Writing at both the University of Central England and the University of Iowa.
