Lakambini (Bing) Sitoy (Wong Fellow 2003) graduated from the University of the Philippines where she also gained an MA in Creative Writing, and taught fiction writing. She has published two collections of short stories, Mens Rea and Jungle Planet: the former earned her a National Book Award from the Manila Critics' Circle.
Many of her short stories have appeared in anthologies in the Philippines, Finland, France and the U.S.A. She has also published various works of non-fiction. As a journalist, Sitoy has also served as a lifestyle and cultural section editor and columnist for the Manila Times.
