Andrew Franklin

Andrew Franklin set up Profile Books after he was made redundant by Penguin, where he worked for 11 years, including six spent running Hamish Hamilton. At Profile he has set out to publish lively, interesting non-fiction with as much energy and passion as possible. Profile publishes many established writers, including – this year – Germaine Greer, Wole Soyinka and Frances Fukuyama, but it is also committed to new writers and publishes about ten or twelve new first books a year.  This year, Profile was the Small Publisher of the Year, in part because of success with Lynne Truss’s book Eats, Shoots and Leaves, which has sold more than a million copies.
