Martin Newell is a writer, performer and musician. He wrote for The Independent for 13 years and is currently Poet in Residence for The Independent on Sunday. Widely credited as the most published living poet in the UK, he has produced 10 collections of verse and one rock memoir. He lives in Essex, where he continues to write books and make records.
