Prose Fiction
Contemporary novelist Matt
Thorne will host a two day workshop on how to write truly
contemporary and exciting 21st Century Fiction.
Lousie Doughty will lead a
Masterclass weekend on plotting and narrative structure, focusing
on the architecture of writing and how to become a better critic of
your own work.
Successful novelists Tahmina Anam and Joe Treasure lead a day
course guiding writers through decisions on the building blocks of
their first novels.
Poetry
Writers can apply to take part in Hugo Williams' (late
change from Alan Jenkins) Masterclass - exploring ideas about
what constitutes good poetry, and how to arrive there.
Mimi Khalvati will look at poetic forms in some depth in her
Masterclass, focusing her honed eye on rhyme and repetition.
Performance poet Patience Agbabi will offer a range of practical
skills on her day course on performance.
Poetry Manuscript Workshops will be available with the great
Clare Pollard and James Byrne. Working together, this high energy
team are bound to offer discerning insights into your work, the
fruits of which you could show off at the Season Poetry
Reading.

One-To-One Manuscript Surgery with The Writers
Practice
Our Season special offer is cut price sessions with experts from

The final weekend of New Writing Season offers sessions with

online opportunities. Featured experts include BBC pundit Bill
Thompson, writer Naomi Alderman, Penguins Digital man Jeremy

ABC Tales Competition and Reading
